Guest Review for Unit 401 Comments:Amazing view Experience:This property is something extraordinary! Pictures don’t do justice at all with the view . View is 100 times better with real eyes . Apartment was in great condition. Building has pool , amazing sunset view , bbq grill and honestly we could see turtles floating from our balcony unit . If you go to Maui and looking for peaceful place to relax (soemthing less crowded) - you must grab this unit. Cherry on top - this unit on 4th floor and literally right above ocean. We can hear amazing/clear waves sound entire time which was more of the best experience for us! Only one recommendation was - Larry needs to improve or find out a better way to communicate with customers . We do receive emails from him for eveyrhing but I would still prefer direct text /call communication to make journey more smoother . But other than that I would love to be at this place again and again mainly because view of this unit is breathtaking! Every minute was worth spending ! We ll come back again . Aloha ! The views are spectacular, and the accommodations were wonderful. The kitchen was fully stocked with spices and all the pots and pans necessary to make many meals. The bed was super comfortable and with the ocean right outside the window, sleeping soundly was easy. We had an awesome vacation and look forward to coming back and staying in condo 401 again. It has the most amazing view of anywhere I have been. I will note - I looked and looked for a place for my family of four to stay and after combing thru VRBO and AIRBNB this one stood out. However I did miss the part of no air conditioning- that is the only downfall of this place. I thought that part was going to be terrible but it wasn’t. Only 2 of our nights weren’t breezy and the days made up for that. Kitchen very equipped! Need a small cooler? they have it. Need a fan? It’s there. Need beach towels? They have it. I would definitely recommend!!!! Very well appointed kitchen - we entertained and I had everything I needed to prepare a wonderful dinner for 6. No A/C needed, as the ocean breeze keeps the unit cool and was quite comfortable for sleeping at night with the kitchen, slider and bedroom windows open. Very clean and quiet. Updated and fresh, we enjoyed the entire space! Walking paths and the beaches right outside the door! Found a 'secret' sea turtle napping spot about a 3 minute walk away! we enjoyed watching the sunset each evening from our lanai. The pool area is nice and the BBQs were clean and available when we needed them. Will tag this one as a favorite for future visits! Thank you! The beach to the left is great for long walks and offers opportunities to snorkel and enjoy waves to play in. The complex has a grassy area with a heated pool and plenty of lawn chairs to set up by the ocean with palm trees providing shade. December 28, 2019 Comments:Beautiful View Experience:Loved the location of the property. This unit is so close to the water that you almost feel like you are on boat. Beach is great with a grassy area so you can stay less sandy if want. Great snorkeling right on beach with lots of fish and sea turtle. Unit had chairs and some snorkel gear. Very nice kitchen and bathrooms. Only surprise was no air conditioning. I overlooked that detail before booking, but since all windows slide open to screen, it wasn't bad with breeze and each room has fan. Great restaurants just down the road and condo next door has a bar/restaurant and little shop in case you need anything. Managment company super easy to reach and fast to respond. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was stocked for anyone who wants to do some serious cooking. It’s a very nice neighborhood. The balcony views were breathtaking. Everything was clean, new , and in good working order. I only wish it had AC! Luckily, it was very windy due to a tropical storm, so we were very comfortable. I would definitely stay here again! There is a huge grassy common area to throw a ball, or just relax as well. The views of the ocean and sunset in the pictures don’t do the actual views justice - they are even better in person! Loved the comfy chairs on the lanai, and the kitchen was extremely well equipped. There were also loads of beach equipment, although beach chairs could be upgraded. Beautiful unit overall, can't enough about the view and falling asleep to the sounds of the ocean. Highly recommend this unit and property! The 10 am check out makes your last day rushed though. You can literally purchase groceries and expect to find everything else in the unit. Larry and company accommodated our last minute booking and their onsite personnel are very helpful. The property is located a few steps from a great beach and the view is spectacular. It is a short drive with easy access to pretty much all points of interest on the Island. I searched for places in Kaanapali, Kapalua and Wailea, but I'm glad we found this place in Kihei. It is so close to one of the top beaches on the island as per "Maui Revealed" book and app (and we explored 8 other beadhes and liked ours the best... it's called Keawakapu Beach) and the snorkeling directly out front of the condo was amazing. You can rent kayaks or stand up paddle boards from the condo complex right next door. It is a corner unit so the views are wonderful. You are 7 minutes from Wailea, 2 minutes from downtown Kihei with good restaurants and shopping, 30-35 mins from Lahaina and a tad longer to Kaanapali. It's a good location to explore the island. We did hiking to the Nakalele blowhole via the Acid war zone (as per the app), the Kapalua Coastal hike, La Perouse snorkel and hike, Wailea coastal walk, Paia and Hookipa Beach lookout. Pros: Kitchen is fully stocked. The property manager responded to a fix-it item very quickly. They have stocked in the unit fins, snorkels, boogie boards and 2 beach chairs!! The showers are great. But the best is the location near the beach. Opposite the beach on the condo property is a HUGE groomed grass area to play bocce ball, shuffle board, etc. that is part of the condo property. Good grilling areas as well. There are 3 flat screen TVs in this unit. When we were there brand new patio furniture was delivered for the condo's balcony. The sunset views are incredible. The owner was very responsive and professional and easy to work with. Out of all the units on this property I would pick 401 as the best in regards to size and views. Cons: There is no AC. This is not a deal-breaker as there are trade-winds that blow through as you open up the windows and large screen door and turn on all the ceiling fans, but if you absolutely must have AC then it might not be a fit. Also the mattress in the master needs to be upgraded. Sounds like I'm the "princess and the pea" but it had a bit of "hammocking" going on. A small issue. My wife and I still slept well as we fell asleep to the sound of the waves 50' away which was amazing. But a new mattress would be my suggestion. Overall we would definitely go back again. Great island, perfect location. The best part was each morning to sip cup of Hawaiian coffee on the balcony watching whales, kayakers, snorkelers, runners on a running trail, and boats. Even though we followed the 'guide books' on where to snorkel with turtles, the best ones were right out the door. You can watch them while having an afternoon pupu on the lanai. The stocked kitchen was the second best thing about this unit. It is complete with gear, cooking utensils and a deluxe spice drawer. We appreciated the boogie boards and beach supplies as well! The view is spectacular and the apartment is beautifully decorated with many extra amenities. Great beaches with an abundance of wild life in front of the condo. Love the grounds and the condo is situated so that you can walk on the beach towards Kihea and Waliea. Great location to take day excursions to Hana, Lahaina and Haleakala. A true find. Back home it is raining and cold, here it has been beautiful, warm, it even seems hotter than our last visit in August 2011. We drove Hana road to the black beach and the best banana bread in the world! Then there was the trip up to the top of Haleakalā at 10,000 feet! It was such a profoundly beautiful place. We didn't do much else other than a few short trips here and there. Lots of walks on the beach and always a glass of wine at sunset with the rest of the crowd from Surfside. Experience: We have been to Maui many times and have stayed at beautiful resorts (Ritz Carlton in Kapalua, Four Seasons in Wailea) but would choose this condo over those! We love the location and Keawakapu Beach, although public, feels semi private and was ideal for beach walking and water activities. The expansive yard area next to the ocean was wonderful for just relaxing but we also enjoyed being able to putt or play croquet and bocce ball. The pool had plenty of comfortable chairs and was never overly crowded. And the beautiful condo..... We were stunned by the incredible ocean views in every direction - just wish we could have captured it in pictures!!! Whether from inside the condo or on the spacious lanai we just savored each moment of looking out over the ocean to West Maui, Molokini, Lanai, and Kahoolawe. We spotted a few whales even though it was late in the season and we also saw dolphins, turtles, and manta rays from the lanai. The sunsets were beautiful. Again, we think we experienced the best location on Maui! All of the upgrades in the condo have been very tastefully done and felt very accommodating. Our son and his fiance joined us for a few days and it was perfectly comfortable for the four of us. We enjoyed cooking a couple of gourmet meals in the condo and were amazed by how well equipped the kitchen was! I was impressed and pleased! We ate at 5 Palms, the restaurant next door, several times and it was delicious. But it wasn't far to drive to many other excellent restaurants plus we were close to shopping and the beaches in Wailea. We feel so fortunate to have found this location and this condo on Maui.
