This fifth floor oceanfront condo at the Kihei Surfside Resort is located on the more private, quieter side of the building, and has a lovely direct ocean view from the kitchen, living room, dining area and lanai. It is one of the larger, 1 bedroom, 1.5 bath units (680 sq ft). There is also a nice view of the Kihei shoreline, with Kamaole I, II and III beaches in plain sight.

The unit has been tastefully remodeled to a very high standard. The kitchen is done in rich cherry wood cabinetry (new in late 2015) and gorgeous granite countertops.

The entire unit has laminate flooring. Lighting in some rooms is controlled by dimmer switches.

The very attractive peninsula style kitchen is fully equipped with clean white and stainless steel appliances, including a refrigerator, full size range, dishwasher, multi-function microwave oven, garbage disposer and a variety of small appliances including coffee maker, coffee grinder, four slice toaster and blender. There is also a large selection of higher end pots and pans, baking pans, knife set, spice rack and ample dishes, glasses and cutlery.

The living room is highlighted by a mirrored wall which brings in the ocean in a beautiful way. It has a Queen size sofa-bed and a flat screen 48" LED color TV and DVD player, and a multi speed ceiling fan.

The oceanfront dining area is also mirrored and has a round rattan glass table with 4 matching tropical armchairs. The dining area looks straight out to the Pacific Ocean, unobstructed, over the exquisitely maintained lawn.

The large, private lanai is surrounded by clear glass and has a glass bistro table with two swivel rocker chairs - a perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee or a romantic oceanfront dinner!

The bedroom has a high quality pillow top King sized bed, high quality bedding, multi speed ceiling fan, modern furniture, closet, digital security safe and telephone.

The master bathroom has a full size, walk in shower, a beautiful cherry vanity with granite countertop. The matching half bath has been finished to the same high standard. Both bathrooms have Kohler toilets.

The unit is fully equipped with fresh linen and towels, iron/ironing board, hairdryer, beach towels and a cooler. Umbrellas, boogie boards and snorkel gear are not supplied, but are often left behind in the units by other guests - no guarantees.

The unit has free, wireless high speed internet and free long distance calling to the United States and Canada. It is also equipped with a state of the art Oracode door lock, whereby each guest is issued a unique code which controls the door only during their stay. No keys!

This unit is an excellent choice for guests who are looking for a beautifully remodeled unit in a quiet, private location in the building with a lovely view of the Pacific Ocean, the Kamaole Beaches, the oceanfront manicured lawn and garden and the West Maui Mountains.

"The Fine Print"

In addition to the above rates, there is a one time reservation fee of $35 and Hawaii state tax of 17.42%. There is a $200 cleaning fee ($220 for reservations with check out dates in 2023) for one bedroom, one and a half bath units. Subject to availability, there is no charge to change dates within 48 hours of making a reservation, but a minimum $35 fee for changes made after 48 hours.

For one bedroom one and a half bath units, the base rate includes up to 2 guests.

For units that accommodate more than 2 guests (4 guests maximum), additional fees apply for additional guests at the rate of $15 per night for youths (17 and under) and $25 per night for adults (18 and over).
